Hi Sarah,

I have zero flies!

Although this is due to a rigours regime of changing the poo trays every other day, the occasional squirt of essential oils, and keeping the run fairly clean.

Before that I had tons of flys!

Even the Fly-Inspection Squad (my wife) was impressed.

Maybe my flies have moved to your place?

LOL Hardly any in the run it's all the poop on the lawn from them free ranging all weekend, have to admit today as the weather was not so hot it hasn't been so bad but Monday and Sunday was a chook poo fly party! I think they all invited their friends, maybe they really are the ones from your lawn? LOL

So where can I get a pre-made flatpack easy to assemble walk-in-run?

Here you go Steve.... http://www.flytesofancy.co.uk/acatalog/Poultry_Protection_Pens.html this is the one Egluntine has I think. Looks good :D

My husband is making ours, cleaning out a 4m eglu run is hard work so we have ordered the weldmesh from hills of devon, we already have the slabs and so all we now need is the wood and some sweat lol

Betty laid a 45 gram egg today, first of the flock. Well done Betty.

She looked a bit surprised when I opened the Egg Port. Thanked her for the egg and then popped her onto the roosting bars. The egg was all snuggley and warm!

Wilma is massive - much bigger than Betty so I'm expecting them to come out like machine gun bullets when she finally pulls the trigger.
