Just received monthly news letter from omlet and plastic rooster bars are now available for the Mark 2 Eglu and Cube. Thought I'd put in a post to let everyone know as I remember there's been posts regarding this before.

There's been a thread going in Eglus & Cubes for last couple of weeks.. got my plastic ones yesterday!

My Eglu came with the plastic roosting bars.....really easy to clean & dry...

I bought some they arrived earlier this week with a lilac fun shade - still in the box. I am happy with the wooden ones for now, but thought I better have some for demo at hen parties.

Ordered mine today too. Should be arriving on Friday with my netting. Then the girls can finally do a bit of free ranging in the garden whilst I give their eglu and pen a thorough clean. Gosh, what has happened to me, I don't normally get excited about cleaning

They're great, hardly need cleaning, the poo just slides off of its own accord.

Ordered mine this morning, sounds like i will need to spend less time cleaning now and more time watching my girls so can't be bad! Just need Omlet to come up with a way to train them to poop in a kitty litter tray a couple of times a day and everything will be cool

I gave my eglu a thorough clean inside this afternoon - time taken 8 minutes thanks to the new bars - they seem to have larger slots too so not much gets trapped on them and so so easy to clean. Mine still dont fit right - wonder if the eglu is warped a bit due to it being postd but they do the job well.
