I can't sleep . . . . for thinking about the new eglu that arrived today and my new hens I'm collecting Saturday. This week is going soooooo slowly!

 

I just can't wait for the new girls to arrive, I'm so excited! I was in a very long meeting yesterday and caught myself thinking over new names for them, how sad is that?

Nothing sad about that. It sounds like a very productive way to get through a long meeting. Sorry you cant sleep, but at least its for a nice reason. When you do drop off, I hope you have lots of lovely chook filled dreams. night night

I was the same as you last week sleepless nights and days spent counting down the hours to new chooks time

 

The bags under my eyes are starting to disappear now

Best way to deal with a long meeting, I'd say So what names did you choose?

 

Not long till Saturday and, if you're anything like I was, you'll spend time looking at their new home (yes, I know it's empty, but you'll do it anyway), checking you've got everything for them (again) and checking the directions for where you're going (even though you know them by heart), oh, and telling everyone you're getting chickens on Saturday. Time will just fly by

I think and talk to anyone who will listen about my chickens when I'm in court (am a barrister) and it amuses my colleagues hugely. They think am some sort of hippie tree-hugger, which most lawyers aren't at all. Let them mock, I say, they know not the secret delights of a garden full of chickens!
