Recommended Posts

Yes folks ,it's already started..the collecting of chicken stuff! :) OH muttered something about teabags not being the same as tea in a pot and then mused 'I wonder if anyone does chooky teapots?' So have looked on auction sites but dont like whats on offer.Have any of you ideas as to where we might buy one to start the collection off? Many thanks

Evening :D:D

Do you want a chicken shaped teapot (not that I know where you could get one) or one with chickens on it :?::?:

Emma Bridgewater does a lovely teapot - I've got one (used it to make the tea on my course  ) but it's pricey - my birthday pressie last year :D :D

Matalan and M&S have both sold chickeny teapots earlier this year - in true Omlet style the thread ran to many pages and teapots were soon sold out across the country :lol::lol: Would be worth trying them to see if they still have any :D

Good luck in your search and glad to see that you're already starting your chickenalia collection :D:D

..........sorry Jane, we're having an Omlet moment :oops:

Whenever anyone finds something that we think fellow Omleteers would appreciate we pop a post in the Nest Box and before you know what has happened it has become the latest forum must have with posts for pages and shops wondering why they have sold out :lol::lol::lol:

As defined by the Omlet English Dictionary  .

  • "Omlet Effect (The)" = when one Omleteer starts a craze for buying certain household or other objects (not necessarily chickenalia) such as steam cleaners, crocs etc. Usually causes the various product websites to crash. (attr. Jules)

Latest Omlet Effect .... chicken shaped cookie cutters on Ebay  .

This is the set I really like. :D

I want a teapot - and probably a lot more besides!

I sell Gisela Graham products and there is only a limited amount of this range left - particularly in the pottery stuff. You can also get teacosies, egg cups (slightly different to those in the picture - they are hen shaped) and cosies, aprons, oven mitts

Here is a link to the type of stuff there is http://www.helencawton.com/shop/allproductlist.jsp

also they have chicken themed things here pn th Gisela Graham Spring list ( you need to go to the bottom of the page though)

The spring collection is gorgeous :D DD1 collects snow domes, so the chicken one is a must :D

This year the Christmas collection has a farmyard range, its ages since I placed my order (January!!) so I can't exactly remember what is coming but I know there is a music dome from that range although I don't know which animals are in it, there is also a set of wooden animal decorations. I'll know soon enough as the Christmas stock usually comes to me at the end og August.
