Sainsbury are putting security tags on Chickens!!?

Recommended Posts

 Have you heard?!

I heard on the radio this morning that since March Sainsbury have noticed a noticeble increase in theft of Chickens from their stores!!

So they have started to be security tags on them to deter theifs.

As Terry Wogan said, I'd like to see someone trying to sneak out a chicken up their jumper!

What's even more amazing is it appears to be the frozen ones! Brrr!

there was a lady who used to steal frozen chickens by carrying them on her head under a big hat

Hilarious!

I heard they were only stealing free range ones - I hope it's true, but I wish they would steal them from Tesco instead!

I can just imagine my girls clanking around the garden with one of those tag like you get on a bottle of whiskey around their ankles! :D

'Bok bok, clunk clunk, bok bok!'

That's just plain weird! It makes me wonder, is this because people are starting to notice the increasing price of food?

I saw someone steal meat from Morrisons once, couldn't quite believe what I was seeing. This guy stuffed a ham joint and some bacon inside his coat and ran off. I told one of the staff who didn't seem bothered and said "I'll go and tell someone" by which time the thief was probably clean across the other side of town.
