How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Purple cube and girls arrived yesterday, and when the Omlet man was clipping their wings he commented that one of the Pepperpots was not far off laying (but not to quote him on that).

 

Well this afternoon, I went out to give them a treat and have a chat, and there in the back of the eglu run (in the farthest possible corner) was our first egg They were all having a peck at it and the gingernuts were walking over it

 

Thinking quickly I aquired a rake, chucked in some mealworm for distraction, and when their backs were turned, opened the run door and raked the egg from the back of the run

 

Weight 58g

 

PS. I am so in love with them all already

That's a good weight for a first egg. They get larger over time. Congrats on the new girls and first egg all in one go......

58g is enormous for a first egg, there are people on here whose hens have been laying for 6 months and haven't managed one that big yet!

 

So did you have it scrambled, fried, boiled or poached? And was it the yummiest egg you have ever tasted?
