4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Thanks to the very kind cinnamon seeing a cube in action so to speak I've just put a purple one on order. I was pretty convinced before seeing one in the flesh. So when the cube turns up I'll have that an eglu and a wooden hen house mum bought for me on my 30th birthday last year.

 

mum left me some money which I have used to buy it with, i'm sure she would approve as she was facinated with my chickens.

Lovely idea to honour your mum in that way - and the colour purple is one which is associated with hope and healing, so I am sure that is a great choice.

I have a cube and I think it is the easiest to move and clean and I definately wouldn't part with it.

 

I have seven girls in it and when I look in the top they have a lot of room but they all snuggle up together in the corner.

 

Makes me think I have room for more but I am resisting. ( And its difficult)

well just heard from omlet about the delivery date, 5th september. I must say im a little shocked and disappointed that it would take a month and a half to get the item delivered, but still I do want one so I suppose I'll have to wait!

Husband ordered mine on Saturday and it's coming on 5th September too. I'm so excited! He still has to build the run, so the delay is not too much of a problem for us.

I think I heard that busness has increased four fold for them this year so I bet that they are just having trouble keeping up. Spring/summer must be the busiest time too.

The wait isn't too bad - it gives you time to sort out where its going and change your mind upteen times over what chooks you are going to fill it with.

I had to wait 2 months for my Cube - ordered in March and delivered in May - and patience has never been one of my virtues At least I then only had to wait two more days for my lovely little ex-batts .

Interesting, I dithered all night about whether I should have purple or green. Finally made a decision and husband phoned this morning to ask if it would be a problem to change the colour of my cube, and more importantly would it affect the delivery date? He was told no problem, they have them in stock and the delay is to do with the number a courier can deliver in a day - maximum of 6. Therefore I can change my colour (to a purple one yaaay!) and it will still be delivered on 5th September. As husband says, it seems a strange way to do business.

When I phoned Omlet they said the delay wasnt the courier, but didnt have the cube in stock, and that was before we discussed the colour.

Still havent decided what colour to order? blue, purple or lilac (if you can get a cube in lilac).
