Seagazer
You do sound busy We went to Corfu about 5 years. I think it was Agios Georges (sp)?? That's probably totally wrong. It was down the south end of the island. I preferred it up the north end as it seemed greener and more lush. It was so hot when we were there. Everyone was coming out in hives, including me. I'd like to go back to the greek islands, especially after watching Mamma Mia! Have a great holiday. I'm off to Turkey I always said to my husband I didn't want to go - now look whats happened..... Seagazer
No I was definitely in Corfu As I say the name might be slightly wrong - it was Agios G..... It was 40 degrees when we went - even the waiters were complaining Yes it is the bombs I'm worried about. My hubby loves going on holiday, laying round the pool and not going anywhere. I usually drag him out sightseeing but I think this time I shall stay firmly around the pool We are going to Side. I have no idea about the place. We're off to Copenhagen for our anniversary in September and I've already researched it. I think I have a mental block for Turkey! Too much fowl in one year perhaps? Olly
Aghios (or Aghia - female) means Saint! so - Aghios Georgios = St George, Aghia Sophia = St Sophia, etc. You'll find a lot of places in Greece and Cyprus with similar names. Enjoy your holidays, both of you.
