I'm scheduled to recieve my girls today and I'm SO EXCITED :!: I've been waiting for them for weeks and today is the day....YIPEEEEE. Impossible to sleep any longer. It is going to be a long day just waiting for the USPS to call and let me know I can retrieve the girls. I promise I'll keep you posted and include lots of pics once they arrive.

Fab.... getting chickens in the post is just something we don't get over here in the UK. Best of luck for today and keep us posted.

 

Oh.... and I was a bit curious to see your signature with your eglu arriving 06/11/08 :?: until I realised in US you put month first then date then year, over here that means 6th November....... :D

Yes....A cat on hot bricks....That would accuratly describe how I'm feeling and as I've had the Eglu set up and ready to go since the start of June multiply that feeling 10x's. We are EGGspecting 4 lovely Gingernut Rangers...Can't wait...Can't wait, Can't wait.... :!:

Still no news and it is getting rather late. :( When I first heard of the chickens being sent via post I was concerned, but was reassured it's done all the time without incident. Now I'm starting to believe there has got to be a better way.

I just spoke with the post master and he is expecting a delivery at 5:20...I'ts now 4:48pm and he assures me that if there are any chickens he will call me immediatley...Unfortunatley there is no way to track the parcel and we are not told which hatchery they are coming from, so nearly impossible to get any real useful information. You would think with live animals it would be easier to track. Something to be said for NOT sending chooks through the post system :!:

Don't wait up Lisa33 as I just spoke with the post master and there were no chickens on the last shipment :cry: I'm not sure if I should be angry or cry as these poor live animals are helpless and most likely will be spending the evening on a truck somewhere. I will NOT be getting any sleep this evening as I'm now just VERY worried. Sorry to get everybodys hopes up.
