Clur
I took last week off work to spend some time with my littlies, and decided on Friday to take them to a farm in Wokingham to 'pick your own'. What a fantastic few hours, they (and I) had great fun picking the raspberries and finding the best strawberries and are asking when they can go again. A cheap way to keep them entertained, lots of fresh air and a nice family time....perfect! Shame I'm back to work on Monday, could really do with more time off!!! Christian
Was it Gray's farm Clur? I went there years ago! Really good place. My Mum and Dad always took us there when we were little. We ate more than we picked
ajm200
Oh I was hoping that Grays farm still had PYO own strawberries as I want to take my LO. Didn't feel up to it this week with OH away. Which farm was it?
Nutmeg
We were there on Wednesday afternoon in the mini heatwave. It is Grays Farm and we picked Strawberries, Raspberries, dug some Carrots and bought some Runner Beans. There is a shop and somewhere to buy a cold drink and ice cream. Plus there is no restriction on how much you can eat as you pick
Clur
Yeah, it was Gray's Farm. Loved it, will be going back for other goodies I think. I only ever remember going to PYO as a youngster and being put off by the gooseberry thorns - thought I'd break my two in gently
Hen Watch
I love Grays PYO Farm too. Last week we got a gigantic cauliflour and I chose one with massive leaves plus scooped up all the leaves others had chopped off and left behind. My chickens dined on free caulflour leaves for 3 days.
LisaP
We're planning on going sometime this week - weather permitting! My children have always loved going there Lisa P
craftyhunnypie
We called at a fruit farm yesterday ...go through Woore & turn left at the Coopers Arms. We didn't pick our own - we just bought some blackcurrants, raspberries, strawberries & spuds. There are picnic tables there & chickens wandering round. It's a lovely place. I made blackcurrant jelly yesterday. Emma.x
