Kazoo
Can anyone give me some ideas of what to put in the run for when my girls are in the run during the day. They are pretty fine with it but Gertrude does pace a bit and if they see me in the kitchen, I can see they want to be released into the garden. Any ideas?? Ain't Nobody Here
I've voted 5+ weeks but I use Hemcore in my run (soon to be replaced by Easibed as my supplier won't be stocking Hemcore any more ). I've put perches etc in my run and give them a seed bell every now and then. You can hang veg (try different things to see what they like) from the roof. Some people put a mirror in too (I keep meaning to get one but haven't yet). Here's my run:
Kazoo
Interesting configuration! So is easibed better than bark then? Doesn't it get churned up pretty quickly??
Ain't Nobody Here
Never used bark so can't really compare them . Hemcore certainly is great stuff if you keep it dry - they dig about in it very happily and it just gets mixed in with the soil until I decide to clean the run out and add more! Olly
I find the aubiose (similar to hemcore) sort of disappears ... until I decide it's really time to clean it out, and find that there's a kind of thick cake on top of the earth! I voted 5+ weeks. I'm a bit of a chicken slut!
