JulesL
Well despite there being plenty of shelter in our garden, plus the covered run and Eglu, my girls have been making me feel very guilty. All three have spent the day sitting on the step outside our french doors just looking into the lounge - looking very wet and very sorry for themselves. Yesterday I heard shouts from my 4 year old saying "there's a chicken in the lounge" as Hilda had ventured in and my 2 year old has resorted to showing them a pretend egg telling them this is what they are supposed to lay I wish the weather would perk up so I can sit outside and bok bok bok with my chooks. cluckbok
We feel sorry for ours too, they love it when we are out in the garden with them. Ours do take cover though when it rains really hard. Ours always want to come in, but that's cause they know the corn is inside the house! Ours have little muddy toes at the moment!
abwsco
Mine normally just take shelter in the garden but for the first time ever they took themselves off into the coop this afternoon.
iar fach goch
this sounds familiar, I have had three very miserable little hens stood outside my french doors all afternoon! I felt so sorry for them, especially when one sneezed that I made them some pellet porridge with hot water! Doors were left open and I heard my two year old saying "no, you can't come in here, this is my house!" Hope the weather picks up soon for their sake and mine!
