Heard an almighty clucking and squawking from the girls this morning, and met Mrs Mcginty (the bossier Bluebelle) exiting the Eglu.....having laid her first egg! Only 2 weeks to the day since we got them!

Well, the bossy Bluebelle who laid today is Mrs McGinty, and my children are meant to be naming the others-but keep coming out with nonsense like KFC and 'Chicken' (courtesy of my 4 year old!)

It is interesting the names children come up with, I thought about letting my four year old grandaughter name one when we get some new additions but her suggestion was 'Chicken Pox'

Maybe I will involve her in choosing the chicken rather than its name.
