bokbokbok
As I was cleaning out this morning I had two escapees on separate missions! Managed to catch one of them on camera: Perhaps it is time to start thinking about letting them out on their own (although not in my veg patch!) I have finally managed to upload a couple of videos to Flickr too (just in case you are interested ) First Egg First Day It Rains
dancing cloud
Guess they're trying to give you a hint At least you managed to keep yours in their run this long. Joy broke out of the Cube run the first night, by cunningly spilling the food and then leaping onto and over my shoulder when I was limbo-ing through the little door to pick it up. She really should have been named Mischief - little monster!
quickcluck
I know what you mean. Mine are DESPERATE to escape. Whenever I open the run door they are all cramming through it, and Coops is waiting patiently on the other side......
Ain't Nobody Here
That's just the noise mine make after an egg appears . I cringe too . They certainly look very happy pecking about there - and that rain's something else .
Snowy
Love your Flickr photos How cool to have captured Sydneys first egg, and as for the rain! I had to laugh as you zoom in to the washing line full of clothes - I am looking at an identical scene right this minute!
bokbokbok
Yay - thanks everyone for looking at the videos - it took ages to work out how to put the captions etc on them Snowy - the washing was zoomed in on because 3 minutes earlier it had all been DRY but I had been too preoccupied to go and take it in The rest of the my garden (read: veggies!) is less than secure so it may be a wee while before I am able to let them out. Stevie
Great videos! Yours is a right noisy hen in the first video and the sound deceived my dog cos he looked round expecting to see one of mine strutting inside! Atleast they're nice and dry inside their big run!
