Mrs Webmuppet
I have that book, must take a look at the recipe. I love Nigella's recipes they always work and are fairly idiot proof!
bronze
Funny how it was the rumsoaked bit that got my attention
Tessa the Duchess
I love banana bread, I will certainly try this recipe, although I think I will substitute brandy for the rum, don't like the taste or smell of rum Tessa
BeckyBoo
Now I've just made the banana cake but OH had finished the rum so I used brandy and I didn't have any sultanas so I used dates! Smells, lovely, looks nice, have brought it to work as I was late yesterday so have to bring in cakes - they can be my guinea pigs!! Cinnamon
I made this yesterday & it is,without a doubt, one of the easiest & most heavenly cake ever Recommended to all
Willow
I make this all the time although without the walnuts, it smell wonderful. I must admit if the sultanas haven't soaked up all the rum I always pour it into the cakemix rather than away as she suggests
Cinnamon
me too I made it again yesterday & it was mostly all eaten by the girls & their various friends by this morning
Maccbean
That's funny, cos I made another of her recipies today, which was apple, walnut and rum-soaked sultana cake! I'm desperate for a bit but it's still hot. Sure it's gonna be gorgeous tho
