mdp1673
Does anyone know how to set one of these up. The batteries on ours died a few weeks ago and after fitting some new ones in today it just keeps winding back the thread and doesnt stop. Is there something I'm missing - I vaguely remember doing something with bridging 2 of the pins?
superjules
Is it still attached to the door? That can really confuse it if it doesn't feel any weight. Also, the door has to be in the "up" position when you change the batteries. To test it, bridge points 3-4 with something metal, unless it's set up to a timer unit. Other than that, I can't help I'm afraid. Sorry!
JamesH
I have one and the instructions is yours on the timer or sensor or both? Here is the bit I think you want Connect pins 3 & 4 together - a yale key or 2 pence coin is just about right. The door will lower to the closed position. When the cord goes slack the motor will stop. Disconnect 3 & 4 and the door will rise after a short delay. Check the knot in the cord trips the small white lever at the bottom left of the unit and turns off the motor. Check there is still some vertical movement of the door. DONE. All I can think is the knot has come out? if you cover the sensor it should go down (it's dark now anyway). Or if on a timer you will have to make sure it is pointing to the current time. It was the knot that was missing - tied another one in and it worked a treat. Cheers
