here are my two new girls who have settled in like they have been here for years within a day. i think mine are a bit shocked as when i put them in as soon as i got home from my friends farm in wales where i got them just to see how they would get on they instantly took over and faught off all 6 of my girls attacks and are now at the top of the pecking order. i think im as surprised as my girls  and over the last two days there have been absouloutley no fights at all. so im father cuffed! :D:D

in the background is my new drinker which i think is one of the best things i have ever bought for my hens, so easy to use and need filling up every 3 weeks so saves time. if your wandering why the water is yellow its because im using poultry life guard tonic.

gorgeous girls and how lucky were you with your intros!

I've been using one of those drinkers for about the last 4 months and they are fantastic, particularly in the hot weather when you have as many as I do! There is never any fear that they may run out. Mine is ribbed all the way down though and find it gets algae stuck in those bits. Yours looks like it might be a better design

**Here is a link** to the item.

It looks good. I like the idea of filling it from the top. I have several big drinkers for my girls, but they have to be flipped over, which is a bit tricky.

I'm going to ask Father Christmas for one. :D

Just one question though....Is it easy to clean?

I do like their water to be absolutely sparkling.

using the hose pipe helps jet the algae off. They do still manage to somehow get the bowl filled with gunk. I guess off their beaks. I simply take it out of the run, tip it out, whizz the hose around it and then take it back into the run to refill it (otherwise it is too heavy to carry!)

I reckon a pressure washer might make light work of it but you would probably need someone else hold it while you did it!
