A chickychickychick-ENN!!
I was astonished this morning to find an egg somewhere between a very big shop one and a small goose one this morning! It's sort of double the size of a medium shop egg. Do people find their egg sizes fluctuate? This one was a corker! A feed four with one omelette one! Mutrix Farmers
our eggs are usually between 60g and 65g with the occasional one bigger or smaller for no apparent reason. Did you wiegh it? Anything over 100g goes on the egg leader board.
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
My scales are rubbish. They have it somewhere between 80 and 110 grams, but given the difference each time, I'm not sure it's accurate enough for leaderboard status! Mutrix Farmers
A good excuse for a new set of scales. After all how are you going to bake all those lovely cakes if your scales are rubbish?
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
A dollop of this, a dollop of that, grease the tin, plop some other stuff in... you know...
Hen Watch
My girls eggs are now always roughly 75g which I now regard as "normal" and yet for a supermarket they are "very large". My girls go from 75g to 101g. But generally 75ish now. When my sister showed me her supermarket medium eggs, that I've long since forgotten, they were weeny in comparison. Supermarkets grade their eggs by weight (not size). So: Very large = over 74g Large = 63-73g Medium = 53-63g Small = under 53g
Ain't Nobody Here
We have fluctuations of 5g or so from each girl (they lay between 65 and 75 roughly). Occasionally we get a large one (biggest was 97g) but not often.
