Ive just been to the Royal Berkshire show and seen the eglu and cube and they are so cool. We already have an area were our chickens live but it has a wall behind it and I dont know if there would be enough room to pull the tray out so could someone tell me how much room you have to have behind the eglu to get the tray out? Thank you.

Hi Shelly.Welcome to the forum from across the pond. :D:clap::dance: I had my Eglu apart for a good cleaning today when I came across your post. While I was reassembling I was able to get a good pictue of the tray pulled out from the eglu.

The length of wood near the tray is 36 inches or 3 feet long and as you can see I still have plenty of room to move it about.

and from another angle........

The bit of wood and metal at the back of the tray is a garden trellis which is placed maybe 3/12 or 4 feet away from the back of the Eglu.

I guess its easier to work in a more confined space if you have an Eglu as you can scoot the tray along the ground where if you have a cube you have to support the tray as it pulls out and then manhandle it towards you but I guess they made the cube trays in two halves to make this easier!
