Joojoo Posted September 26, 2008 Share Posted September 26, 2008 Well, one of the little fellas had a very lucky escape at our house this afternoon. Ashley went out to give the girls their afternoon tea to see Alfie wandering across the lawn with a shrew in her mouth He squatted down and called her, and she dropped it at his feet and it promptly ran underneath him Somehow he managed to just pick it up and brought it in the house. Tried to put it in a box until it could be moved somewhere safe, and it jumped out and ran behind the kettle on the worktop. Remaining 5 cats were patrolling so all got turfed outside pretty damn quick. What an operation it turned into trying to catch the little blighter, but we managed it between us Cordoned off all escape routes and left the only option as (somewhat ironically) an empty box of cat biscuits. He has now been rehomed at a cat-free friends' house around the corner. Bless him. Not a mark on him. He eventually came out of the box, paused for 10 seconds or so to sniff the air and then scampered off into the hedge.
