Mel (& Paul)
Grill the chops and serve with tomato rice - chopped tomatoes, onions, balsamic vinegar, garlic and stock The chops we get are scrummy and sometimes are best just grilled with nothing on the chops not the chef
Dark_Storm_01
I like the leg steaks that aren't wierdly butchered, which are hard to find in Supermarkets - they prefer the ones that looked like they have been rolled. Anyway, what I do is wash them, rince them and score them, so that there is more surface area being cooked in the pan, and they taste cleaner. I get a big (and I mean BIG) k"Ooops, word censored!" of butter, and a little Olive Oil (to stop the butter burning) going in the pan. I put them in the hot fat and sprinkle a decent amount of Lamb Herbs Mix (Like the one you can get in the Herb Mix section of Sainsburys etc) and a little salt and pepper. Then, after about 10 - 12 minutes, turning now and then I add a decent amount of Mint Jelly to the pan. Mix it about till it combines with the butter, and cook for another 5 - 6 minutes. Cook some rice with this (I prefer the 2 minute Rizazz - coz I hate cooking rice) And some peas &/or corn &/or Brocolli Just make sure there is plently of the Mint Jelly & butter mix to go around. I hate cooking rice too - if you have a microwave, you can get great plastic microwave steamers which only take ten minutes and never go wrong
Cate in NZ
I shouldn't be reading this thread when I'm hungry Now I want a lamb chop or 2, nicely grilled, nothing fancy doing to it, as my butcher sells lovely free range, tender, yummy lamb. Expensive, so a rare treat, but worth it Now I am sooooo hungry
Cinnamon
Lamb is my favourite meat. I am not usually one to eat the fat on meat, but Lamb chops, grilled with all the crispy fat are just gorgeous. I make a nice red wine, redcurrant & rosemary sauce for mine - just slosh it all in a frying pan until it tastes right & enjoy

The Dogmother
You'll like the farmers' market we're going to next week then Martin, there's a chap there selling delicious free-range minted lamb steaks - no bones and sooo tasty. My mouth's watering already! he also sells the best merguez sausages that I have tasted outside of North Africa
Laura & CTB
I make a nice red wine, redcurrant & rosemary sauce for mine Is that using a redcurrant jelly or would I have to go and find real ones?
lightworker01
I hate cooking rice too - if you have a microwave, you can get great plastic microwave steamers which only take ten minutes and never go wrong I do have one, and I hate that thing too - it makes a hot sticky mess in my microwave, and because I can't clean it and eat at the same times it results in spending 30 minutes scrubbing the damn stuff out.
