Guest
I think I've overbooked for this week. We have an emergency governors meeting tomorrow and as Mum is away and as we were already holding it at someones house I offered to change the venue to here so that I could attend without the need for a babysitter - and the chore of waking James up to take the babysitter home! Well the house looked like a bomb site - or an explosion in a toy factory so this afternoon, after pole dancing (and I also did a gym session this morning) I've been cleaning, tidying etc to get the house looking halfway decent. By the time sat down with my tea I was dead on my feet. So tomorrow I have the governors coming at 7.30. I have to drop James off at his friend in the morning - a long hike around a canal tow path, then teach 5 classes then rush home and light the fire before picking James up. I also need to prepare some sort of cake for the meeting and the icing for the next nights cake. Oh and I foolishly picked a HUGE bag of apples today which need attention before they go - so hoping to get them boiling up in the jam pan for more crabapple jelly. The following night I have the special hen party for James teachers and I have a meeting with our head beforehand so I'm only going to get home 10 mins before they arrive. There are cakes in the freezer which need defrosting, icing, filling etc. And someone wants their website URGENTLY updated. And the meeting Monday is going unleash a whole load more work. It'll be a miracle if it all gets done on time - I'm planning a quiet time next weekend!!!
Shirl
Oh dear you have taken on a lot! I'd offer to pop over and help but I'm nursing my DS who is 22 tomorrow and broke his collar bone today and is acting like he's 2 again! Well at least any excess calories you take on after eating cakes will be well and truly worked off!

The Dogmother
i'm the same Pengy - being a single parent isn't easy is it. I don't have a baby sitter unless I can get the ex to have Rosie, so just don't go anywhere

Guest
I'll squeeze in a coffee when I take James to swimming on Thursday! He informed me tonight that Beavers starts tomorrow, I can just get him there after the hen party - goodness knows when I'll have time to eat. Turns out there is something on in the village on Thursday night that I would LOVE to go to, why are these things always on when Mum is away?? I've put a message out on Facebook to all my babysitters to see if someone can look after him Sunday whilst I go pole dancing - mind you I nearly broke my knee yesterday doing it - must remember they only bend in one direction.
