Very close fireworks

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I know there have been a few firework posts, and I'm not worried about general firework displays in the distance, given that most posters have said chooks will be ok with fireworks, but may lay a few wonky eggs afterwards.

But last year my next door neighbours had industrial strength display fireworks, and they were firing them off ten feet from where the chooks now reside this year. I didn't have chickens last year. But last year we were too scared to use the rooms next to the neighbours' garden because we were worried we'd get an exocet-sized firework through a window!

Given the nearness, is it wise to bring them in if the neighbours have a firework display this year, do you think?

we have two animal cage things from past misadventures . one is a guinea pig cage for indoors, the other a rat cage for indoors . the first one is now used for vet transport (origionally a guinea pig house)the second for home hospitalisation \ fireworks night we have not ever used these yet - touch wood. we brought the girls home in the smaller cage so if you have a guinea pig or rat cage ... it might just do the job .. :?:

I bought a cat carrier for transportation and potential vet runs. I guess that would do them overnight to make them feel safe. Pop them in the lounge in it. Oh lordy! That could be fun!

I'd bring them in if it's that loud that close.

Is it legal. there is decibel legislation now. guess you don't want to fall out though.!

Huh & some poor people get notices slapped on them for chhok noise! (better not get on that soap box) yes bring them in, it might not be good for their eardrums either.

do hope you do not have 30 though :D
