Chook n Boo Mum
Hi All, I'm just getting a heap of chestnuts ready to make some Chestnut jam with - no idea what it's like, but will try anything once!! Will the odd ones which aren't good enough for the preserve be ok to put in for the chooks to snaffle - and if so, would they need them peeled (delicate little princesses that they aren't ) Previously, I would probably dump them on the compost heap, where the chooks go for extra treats. If they are likely to be poisonous or a problem, I'll have to put them in the green cone. Advise please.... Thank you in anticipation, Sha x
The Dogmother
I don't see why they shouldn't be OK with them.
