bellekatz Posted October 31, 2008 Share Posted October 31, 2008 Our elderly cat Jaffa who was a rescue from the RsPCA as an adult nearly 15 years ago is off his tablets!!! He was diagnosed as diabetic (amongst other things) about 2 1/2 years ago but luckily has been controlled by tablets ( two a day) and not insulin. A month ago his sugars were low - meaning he was producing his own insulin again - so his dosage was dropped. The vet has just phoned to say this his sugar levels are so low even now he is in danger of going hypo and all tablets are to be stopped! That means he is capable for the time being of producing normal levels of insulin. Which means he doesnt have to be fed separately anymore! One less thing to worry about!! Yay!!
