Tessa the Duchess
In one weeks time I am going to the O2 Arena to see Mr. Leonard Cohen...swoon, swoon My friend and I have decided to drive there. I wondered if anybody had ever driven there, what the parking is like, I don't mind how much it costs, just want to know if it is possible? Seagazer
We drove and parked there when we saw Neil Diamond, there are a couple of different car parks all next to the arena. One is more for commuters I think (although we parked there when we used the tube to see The Osmonds). The one we used for Neil was £20 I think if I remember right. They are very well signposted. Have a lovely time
chelsea
you can pre book parking I think direct with the arena (check out their website), it was last time I looked about £15-20.
Tessa the Duchess
Thank you guys, very helpful £20 this is going to turn out to be a mega expensive evening out, but worth it just to see the man Tessa
Seagazer
We've decided next time we go we are going to get a taxi (luckily or not depending on your point of view) we live near enough It takes us about 15 minutes to drive there. I think we've got Elton John as our next concert evening.

Cate in NZ
There is a large public car park at Greenwich Peninsula, by Sainsbury's, B&Q, and the cinema......few other shops and restaurants there as well . It's probably about 10 mins walk from the O2, and it is (or was, for fairly obvious reason's I've not been there since early June) unrestricted free parking in the evenings. It's free during the day too, but only for 4 hours I think & is fairly comprehensively patrolled to check that no users exceed their time limit. Clash City Rocker
Anyone tried the "Clipper service" from Waterloo to the O2 arena along the Thames? We're going to try it in December for the Barry Manilow gig
Tessa the Duchess
Anyone tried the "Clipper service" from Waterloo to the O2 arena along the Thames? I quite fancy doing this, but then I have to find parking at Waterloo which is probably a nightmare. Tessa

Tessa I'm sure there are a few places where you can get on or off, not just Waterloo http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/120040C6EED842A3?artistid=952698&majorcatid=10003&minorcatid=10003
Ms Marple
In one weeks time I am going to the O2 Arena to see Mr. Leonard Cohen...swoon, swoon You made me go into a panic. We are going to see him in Manchester, but I've checked and it's not until the end of the month. Very excited here too.

We're going to try it in December for the Barry Manilow gig  we are going to see Barry too, on the 6th Dec, I got the family tickets as an early Christmas pressie for my mum who is mad about him (at least thats my excuse ) some friends had suggested the boat was the easiest, but i didnt fancy a late night wintery return, so maybe parking would be an option. We're going on Thursday 4th Dec, the "Foolish one's" favourite artist of all time !!!! not really looking forward to it. Friday 5th is more appealing, Bill Bailey at the Gielgud Theatre. We'd love to see Bill Bailey - he's hilarious. Kitbag - we went to see Neil Diamond earlier this year. Perhaps you should contact the arena to find out whether its all seating or not. I'm sure you'll have a great time no matter what.

Mutrix Farmers
Official O2 parking is expensive, but there is a London Underground car park right next door (in fact it's closer than the proper car parks). Very reasonable at weekends. Used mainly by commuters during the week so space might be an issue during the week although OH and I have used it (can only park after 11am) but at weekends it should be OK. Gets really busy during the day with people going into London for the day but empties by teatime. Really easy to find too. Have a great time. We used this mid-week at about 5'ish to go up to Wembley by tube and it was fine then and it was cheaper. Not sure why we didn't use it when we went to the arena. Olly
Tessa, just reviving this post - I went to the O2 last night and Leonard Cohen was FABULOUS! Did you enjoy it - sorry we didn't arrange to meet up, but I was already meeting two other friends there and it's a huge place, isn't it. I thought he was brilliant and he did so many songs, what a trouper. I can't remember enjoying a concert so much in ages. For those who think that LC only sings depressing songs, well he was surprisingly jolly, positively skipping about the stage and his voice is as good as ever. He had a Spanish guitarist, afraid I didn't catch the name, but it would have been worth the ticket money just to see him alone. Oh and the backing singers were pretty darn good, too! The O2 is a fantastic arena - I didn't look down while I was climbing up to the seat, but once I was sitting down it was fine and the acoustics are excellent. Better still, the journey home only took about 45 minutes which was brilliant (compared to going to Hammersmith or Wembley for example). I'm going back to the O2 in June to see War of the Worlds!
