A chickychickychick-ENN!!
The other half uncharacteristcally helped with housework the other day and took some washed clothes upstairs - big bags full - and put them away. I was very happy and amazed. Today, I am looking for the big bag of washing which needed doing which was in our bedroom and he told me that he has also put this away - as in put all of the clothes in it away 'apart from the knickers and sheets' because he thought it was a mixed bag of clean and dirty washing. WHY?!?!?!?!! And there goes my Omlet ranting virginity. This is my first ever rant. Wooh! Honestly - what to do with some of our menfolk? BeckyBoo
Well, they say it's the thought that counts, ten out of ten for effort I suppose, that's what I end up saying about mine too - they mean well, bless them. Honestly, men, can't live with 'em, can't get rid of the either! Mrs B

Helly Welly
My OH had to get DD (9) to teach him how to work the washing machine He is the master of the dishwasher now though, i never do it. He also does all the ironing, he even treated himself to a new steam generator iron. I might get him a new ironing board cover for Christmas
Ain't Nobody Here
Bless him . I'll never forget my OH doing a load of washing while I was in hospital having ES. I came home the next day to find the duvet cover on the washing line - well done to OH, you'd think. But no, all the small items of clothing were INSIDE the duvet cover, all scrunched up, wet and cold. He just didn't notice and didn't even think the duvet cover was a bit heavy . Olly
why on earth would he think you had a bag of 'mixed' clean and dirty washing? What part of his brain made this a logical conclusion? At least he tried, as others have said!
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
I don't know Olly. I try to word things as logically as possible with him as he's a sciencey dude and only 'gets' logic. But this defies logic. Crazy man. But yes, he tried. Very trying, bless. Trish
When he retired my father in law used to "help out" by doing the hoovering upstairs. He was very thorough, lifting much of the furniture and rugs onto the bed to hovver under them. My mum in law eventually stopped him doing it when she'd had enough of having to go to bed early so that she could put everything back down off the beds. Lydia
Men and logic in the laundry department don't often mix. Last year hubby told me I needed to take his suit trousers to the dry cleaners. I work 10 minutes walk from the dry cleaners and he works 5 minutes walk away, so I politely asked him why he couldn't take them himself during his lunch hour instead. He looked at me totally aghast and exclaimed "Because I've got to eat my frittata!" I've been looking for the logic ever since.....
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Lydia I actually sprayed my screen laughing out loud at that!
redhotchick
LOL. Men are funny aren't they! With their laundry logic and their lunch time/dry cleaning reasoning. It's a good job we love them anyway!
