Newbie here!

 

I have read the books, looked on the internet but can`t find the answer to this question:

 

My girls are about eleven - thirteen week old so not laying and are on growers pellets. They have grit available but should I be adding oyster shell now or wait until they are laying or about to lay?

 

Your eggspert help would be much appreciated.

I'd leave it till they are around 16-18 weeks.

 

Too much calcium is not good for them before they are at POL.
