Well me and my dad have finally finished the girls new run!

 

It took a few days as there was loads of rubbish in the area and we had to clear it all but it was all worth it!

 

The run...Very sunny!

 

 

The whole chicken 'setup'!

 

 

And the girls in the frost (Milly is going through a moult and looks a mess!)

 

 

I know its not as good as some of your fancy walk-in-runs but i think it is practical and they will like it!

It looks good Tom, but a tiny word of caution, chicken wire might not keep the fox out.

 

A double layer might be a better idea.

Thats what i said to my dad but he is right as he said we do have 6ft fences around the garden and a mad dog who actually KILLED a fox once!!!

 

But i know what you mean!

It does look fantastic but at the same time I am really worried about any fox encounters.

 

Foxes can easily jump and scramble up to 8 feet.

 

The fox that attacked my chickens waited for my 'fox-hating' dog to go indoors before it knew it could attack my chickens.

 

I am only saying all this from experience.
