PurpleTree Posted December 8, 2008 Share Posted December 8, 2008 One of my girls, Bubble, has started to throw the pellets everywhere. It's as if she sticks her head in the grub then scoops them out with her beak. Any ideas why she's doing this? Is the grub too high, too low, or is she just being a pain? I think it may have started when I first put Bokashi in the feed, so she maybe searching for this, but when I saw what she was doing I stopped putting the Bokashi in - I just give them some in their treat bowl. Any ideas how I can stop her? As the grub is emptying very fast and I'm not sure if they're eating what ends up on the floor or if it's all just getting scratched into the bark. Whether it was the different brand, or the different food type I have no idea - but the problem stopped - and so did the mice.... Not often get a win against the rodents!! Leicester_H Posted December 10, 2008 Share Posted December 10, 2008 Mine do this - I assumed it was because they naturally ate from the ground - not from some artificial plastic feeder. Fortunately, we don't seem to have a problem and they like scratching around for the pellets, so I let them get on with it (not that I couldstop them if I tried!)
