Christmas Presents?

Recommended Posts

This is probably going to sound stupid but I don't know what to get the chickens for christmas my friend buys her cat and dog presents, but it's so much easier for them!

A toy or something, what could my chickens want?

I'm already getting ingredients to make christmas pudding for them (made of mash potatoe, meal worms etc. as done by Penguinmad) but what about presents?

So far all I can see they want is treats and free ranging time, which they get already :?

Any ideas?

I was thinking maybe a small budgie mirror to hang on the mesh and see if they like that as I know some of you have mirrors in there.

Thanks

x

I have bought mine a spiral apple hanger from Wiggly Wigglers.

They love pecking at hanging fruit and veg and they did manage to destroy their apple house that I bought them last year.

By the way whereabouts in North Wales are you? We visited Betws-y-Coed in the Summer hols and we're going back next August. Growing up in Liverpool made it quite easy to visit Wales. You have some beautiful countryside.

I'm very

Maybe you could change everythign roudn for them, if possible, move their house, add a new dustbath or sand pit, or maybe some plants to play amoungst, that they wouldn't eat? Or even get a little pond with a waterfall if you have the bduget, it'd be a nice water feature and I'm sure teh chickens would be interested. Just trying to think fo exciting things really. :)

They care sooo cute!

I'm not allowed any more chickens though......:(

but I would love all of them... :D

I think I'll get them some pecka-blocks as I've seen them before and they look very 8)

Janty- That apple hanger looks brill! I did have a food ball from omlet which I put up with broccoli and carrots but they ignored it!

I'm in the North East, so am quite close to the border, because Dad works in Liverpool but he didn't want us to live there. We do vist Betws-y-coed a lot, we're going there for Christmas lunch next week and a nice walk and shop  I think on the 22nd, so just before christmas, It's lovely there in winter

And yes the countryside is very beautiful, we love Angelsy and LLandudno but we can still pop into Chester, but it takes a bit longer to get there.
