It never ceases to amaze me.....

Recommended Posts

at one time my aunt was buying the old Ladybird books at car boots and charity shops for 20p then sticking them on Ebay. They had a rare 2nd edition (the oldest they ever found) and they managed to sell it for £25!!

ebay is good for collectors' items - but most of my old books wouldn't qualify :(

Kannie, I only ever sell my books on green Metropolis now....

http://www.greenmetropolis.com./

They go for nothing on ebay, & on Green Met,even if you don't sell that many, you know that they are going to a real book lover AND they are helping the environment too :P [/color]

I've got the same novels listed on Green Metropolis too, but on GM I've sold only 2, whereas on Amazon I've sold 21, in the same period! Also GM didn't seem to have many text books listed. It does pay better though, I agree!

And I think that whoever you sell through, its helping the environment in the same way!

In a way I prefer Amazon because they encourage you as a seller to have more contact with your purchasers, and I've had good email chats with several. With GM there's very little seller/purchaser contact, and it seems to be discouraged! So I get more of a feel of the home my book's going to with Amazon - which I do like!
