Mrs Frugal
Bless her, she always reminded me of my Grandma so I was very sad to hear of her death.
Omletina Kyckling
It's very sad. They used to film in Slaithwaite a lot (which is where I'm from and about 5 miles from Holmfirth where my big bruv lives) as Holmfirth had become so busy due to tourists. Our house is by the canal and they often did their canal filming there. They once hired my dad's laundry for the day to film an episode. I worked in Holmfirth many eons ago, for the council and we were above the tourist information office. We were always getting stopped by people and asked where Nora Batty's house was, and my boss used to say "if you're quick, she'll just be putting the kettle on about now" and you used to see a flicker of doubt in people's eyes, as if she were real!! I think her house is now a tearooms (The Wrinkled Stocking) Almost the end of an era, only the wonderful Peter Sallis left now.....oops nearly forgot Jane Freeman, who plays Ivy, she was in it from the start too...
