I saw it last night, it is quite loosely based on the book, but was still ok.

The "Shadow scene" was totally over-set, in the book it happens next to a car park, in the film it was a lavish castle courtyard.

I'd give it 7 out of 10.

The books was brilliant but from the trailer the film looks much differnet, but still great!

 

I saw Twilight today, definetly worth a watch, I'm off to buy the book now!

I know Kitbag's reccomended it, it was fabulous.

I wouldnt say it was brilliant, but an easy to watch, fun movie

One daughter is seeing Twilight tomorrow,the other in a couple of days,& I am going to see it once I have read the book.

 

I did try to read Inkheart, but it just didn't do it for me, so I will probably give the movie a miss, especially as reviews have not been great

Shame, as there are a lot of fans out there who have been eagerly awaiting the movie.

I have considered taking the boys to see this for my OS birthday at the end of Dec, but I read a few reviews and they were not that great, I will be reading this with interest as we have not read the books, I was going to get them, but one thing and another didn't get around to it, so the films will be our first experience of it as it were.

I read the first book, but had to force myself to finish it. Not my kind of thing. I'll not bother with the film.

Maybe the books are a bit like marmite- you either love them or hate them!

Maybe something in the books is lost in the translation from the original German to English I must admit they are not the easiest of books to read, but well worth the effort

I think the books are fabulous, Inkheart was great and I've just finished Inkspell just in time as Inkdeath is on my Christmas list!
