Revisited topic; Cadburys- creme eggs, free range or not?

right, this is the e-mail trail so far! I'm losing patience with whoever is responding and it may be a good idea to hand this issue over to a BHWT member. After all, the BHWT gave cadbury the good egg award and from what i can see, they don't deserve it as they are STILL using battery eggs! :evil::evil::evil:

I’m sorry but I think you’re being very evasive here, I simply asked you if you were still using battery eggs. Now, I’m assuming from your last comment that you ARE still using battery eggs. Is this the case?

You'd think they'd at least write something extra, even if it was a standard response.

I think what they're doing, as you both said ... they've not done as promised and avoiding the question :think:

i have just mailed cadburys for a thirs year running now to ask about the eggs in their creme eggs. I got this last year

Do the ingredients of these foods actualy say 'eggs from cages hens' or similar? I've always assumed that companies would advertise clearly if products used free-range eggs as a selling point. I've always thought about what I eat (being vegetarian) but even more so re. eggs since wanting to keep my own chickens. M&S I think use free range eggs only.

I received a notification that you read my last e-mail on 10/01/2011 at 10:51am and yet I have heard nothing from you. You haven’t even thanked me for my interest in your company or some other automatic, homogenous reply that companies like you normally send when a member of the public contacts them.

 

 

 

Have you dismissed my enquiry and hoped that I would go away or are you actually investigating my query? Your company has had 3 years now to stick to the pledge you made in 2008 to start using free range eggs. It’s interesting that in your previous e-mail to me (below) that you state “…the very small amount of egg we use in our Crème Eggs” and yet, despite it being such a “small amount” you’ve had such trouble sourcing a supply while other companies, who have switched to using free range eggs, have had no such issues.

 

 

 

I’ve copied in the BHWT and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall who care about the welfare of egg laying hens as much as I do, so that they are aware (which they probably already are) of your apparent unconcern as regards sticking to your ‘promise’ for which you received an award from Compassion in World Farming, ah yes, I’ll copy them in too!

 

 

 

Anyway, if you ever get round to answering me, I’d still like to know if you are now using Free range eggs in your crème eggs and if not, let me know when you might finally get round to it will you?
