Hi everyone

 

The opening date for Ikea in Southampton is Thursday 12th February so get the elbows sharpened and the heels on.

 

Southampton council have apparently made Ikea charge for their car parking (dont know how much).

 

Any chance of an omlet meet in the cafe when the first rush is over?

Of course I'm also on the not spending kick BUT I could go for lunch AND essentials....now WHAT do Ikea sell that is essential....

Just checked, depart Southampton Saturday 23rd May for 7 days, I don't think I'll be able to fit in Ikea, so may have to wait till August....

Its about 5 - 10 mins walk from railway. Its the way I am going to Ikea.

 

Its going to be really busy for the first couple of weeks and the road system to Ikea in Southampton will not be good. It gets jammed up now especially when the cruise boats are in. I was thinking maybe a week or two after they open to meet up anybody any ideas.

I haven't been to IKEA in ages - they've probably cancelled my store card due to lack of use

 

My brother lives in the centre of Southampton so I could combine a visit with him, a trip to IKEA and an Omlet meet

As much as I love Ikea......I'm not mad enough to go in the first few days that it opens

I will be in Lanzarote for a week from 12 Feb so will miss the first week but I agree that that is probably not a bad thing!
