Please can you help.........................

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone

We are not Mr & Mrs (Dr) Do-Little we can talk to the animal and understand them and they talk back. Although we do understand our dogs but we are struggling to understand the hens.

This is the hen which has a broken bone in its leg and is making a purring sound similar to a cat but we are not sure what this means.

Does anyone know their sounds??

Thank you

Best regards

is the 'purring' what we call 'singing'? Our girls do it all the time when they're happy...

Mine do this too, its very soothing to listen to I find - just like my cat's purr.

I was also watching a TV program the other day where they said that some tests had been done on cats about why they purr as they do even when hurt or unwell. They think that the vibration of the cats purr helps them "to heal themselves", as they also said that cats don't have internal tumours that other animals have as the purring vibrations apparently prevent this - you can make of this what you will - but I thought it was interesting none the less.
