BeckyBoo
All Brahmas are fabulous and I absolutely MUST HAVE ONE! My fave is the Buff Columbian which I tried hatching an egg for but ended up with a dark partridge boy who I have to get rid of he is the most docile daft cockerel, unfortunately he's getting quite loud! I shall have to have my eyes shut when I take him to the breeders today and try not to come away with any more! This is what I've got.... http://www.omlet.co.uk/breeds/breeds.php?breed_type=Chickens&breed=Brahma But when I hatch some more in the summer (which I will hopefully) Brahmas will be at the top of my list BeckyBoo

I rationalised it to hubby as only coming back with two and a half as one was a miniature.

quickcluck
Janty can I ask which breeders to go to? I am hoping to extend my small flock in the summer..... and brahma and cochins are on my list is should that be the miniture versions?? how do I decide??? Janty
I got mine from Suffolk pure breed poultry. Their number is 07714329802 They also took in my two brahma boys. The lady there must have thought that I was mental hugging these great massive cockerels and crying my eyes out. They have lots of different colours but if you get a gold LF brahma, my boys, Posh and Baby could be their Dads.

Janty
However, looking through my address book, I also notice that in Essex there is Baythorne Fowl. I don't have any experience with this breeder other than a telephone chat but they have gold brahmas, lemon pile brahmas and red pile brahmas. They also have cochins. quickcluck
Thanks Janty, Baythorne only sell hatchling eggies, so will keep the number for the suffolk one for when I'm ready, as have to build the new run first!
