moomin
I went to the DTBC today to reserve some chickies, they will be ready to collect on 24 Feb - 8 weeks old 3 Pekin bantams, a buff and a Partridge like these two babes - and a lavendar - I really wanted a white one too but they didn't have any in their first hatch and I would have had to wait three more weeks....I couldn't wait!! This was a lovely snowy white girl, I think she's a brahma miniture... ...and finally another lovely little Buff PB...

fluffyfeet
Oh what lovely girls. I have pekin bantams too - 3 lavenders and a cuckoo x silver partridge (I think), that I bred from my originals, which were two silver partridges, a cuckoo hen and a cuckoo cockerel, who was a brilliant little personality, and who I miss dearly. They are a cracking breed, the only drawback being muddy feet (watch for mudballs under their feet!). Will try and post some piccy's when I work out how. moomin
Go for it! There's loads left! You're right Chelsea they are not cheep (sorry!), I'm paying 18 quid each for 8 week olds but you can buy from them with confidence as they vaccinate for everything, and it is such a beautiful place, lovely shop absolutely CRAMMED with chickenalia, restaurant, good selection of chooks to see and buy - and a nice setting A good family day out. So just got to think of names now. I'm counting down the days until I get my new babies. Their house is arriving on Wednesday - a purple Eglu. moomin
The shop is even better than it was, they've just re-furbed and so it's newly stocked and full of goodies. My hubby sent my son in to get me yesterday 'cos I was dawdling too! I was threatened with divorce!!

chelsea
Your flock is going to be so pretty, your other 2 are little stunners.....maybe you could start showing them! Not long for you to wait either . I dont think I could get miniatures, I've got Evil Ella my old gal who would love to peck them.....lots.... moomin
'cos Brahmas are such big breeds normally though, the miniatures still look huge they'll maybe bigger than Evil Ella!! That lovely white one was gorgeous, don't know if she was for sale though, she was in one of the big pens I think they are very docile and therefore prone to bullying. I would love a pure white chicken but that's my lot now after the three little Pekins I'm not allowed any more Gotta go son wants the laptop to go on the Nintendo forum
