21:00 Channel 4 tonight; Chickens, Hugh & Tesco too

Recommended Posts

I thought Tesco's showed breath-taking arrogance from the annoying media bot to the way they kept changing the rules about the resolution. Basically they are going to do what they like and s*d everybody else, shareholders and customers included.

I can only hope the fall in their Christmas sales is a taste of things to come  (And why do people shop there anyway? The food is awful and they are no cheaper than Morrisons or Sainsbury's?? :eh: )

Totally agree.

and I for one will NOT be shopping at Tesco in the future......and I hope that people who can shop elsewhere will do too -their attitude was disgusting and THAT WOMAN!!!!!!

A real eye opener -and another fantastic show from HFW.

.......not looking forward to 'Jamie Saves our Bacon' on Thursday 9.00pm........that looks like it is going to make for some uncomfortable veiwing. :(

They are actually more expensive! There was something on the internet before Christmas about all the supermarkets and prices. I can't remember the exact details but they bought something like 30 of the same everyday items from each supermarket. Waitrose were the most expensive by £1 and a few pence, Tesco were second followed by Sainsbury, Morrisons, Asda. etc, Lidl were the cheapest. I think it was £4 something between the highest and the lowest.

I am a Waitrose shopper and always have been, I know it does cost me a little bit more, better quality goods, far better trained staff but most of all they have done a lot about animal husbandry. I can never find things in Tesco. Waitrose very rarely move things around in store, maybe at Christmas a few things do but it generally stays the same layout after that

In our town we are currently opposing the expansion of Tesco and Sainsbury are on the way too, so I hope our small Waitrose can survive these 2 giants.
