chickens and rabbits

Recommended Posts

I m not sure if this is the right place to write this but if i have chickens can they pass anything on to my rabbits?, the chickens would be in an eglu but i think it would be nice for them to go out on the grass when i was home, my rabbits are house rabbits but also like to go out on the grass.

If it was a risk would it still be a risk if i just kept the chickens in an eglu?

Thanks

We also have three chickens and 1 rabbit. They don't share the same parts of the garden at the same time, but we do put the rabbit hutch up against the chicken fencing so they can all see each other during the day. They get on just fine.

My chickens 'help' me when I am cleaning out the bunnies. They jump in the hay filled dig-boxes, eat their food, test their beds......

But I wouldn't let them be together unsupervised, poor Lego bunny stuck his nose into his own bedroom and nearly received a nasty peck on his face from Hermione, who was trying the new bedding out for herself.
