Ive had a contract with Vodaphone for over 2 years, so I thought i'd see what deal they could give me on a new phone.

 

then I asked what they would give if I kept the old phone.

 

and they said £150.

I was lucky like that with my DD2's phone. When her initial contract came to an end, I rang the O2 section of Carphone Warehouse to switch to PAYG. The man tried to persuade me another contract would be good and I told him I didn't think he'd have a contract for £5 a month, which was all she could afford. He said "That's just what I was going to suggest" and credited her account with £300.
