Mutrix Farmers
I had to fill the car up with fuel yesterday so drove to Tesco on my way to a meeting to do the deed!! I managed to get the fuel filler cap off (which I usually struggle with) first time so was feeling quite good. Nozzle in hole, press handle..........click, dribble of fuel. Give it a wiggle (it's need to be positioned about right). Press handle, click. I repeated this sooooooo many times to no avail. Meanwhile a chap had pulled up behind me to wait his turn. I waved at him and mouthed "help". This very kind man got out of his car and asked what the problem was. I explained and he too tried to put fuel in the car. It took him 3 goes to get it right (so I didn't feel like quite such a useless woman) and he filled the car up for me. He could have just ignored me and driven off to find a different pump, but he didn't! So to my knight in a red fiesta, thankyou so much whoever you are. jackiepoppies
There are a lot of nice people out there. Pity sometimes it's difficult to find them. Jackiex
The Dogmother
That's really shed a bit of sunshine on a day when I am wondering whether most of mankind aren't thoughtless prats! Good for him.
Egluntyne
Restores one's faith in humankind dosn't it. The plonkers get all the headlines whilst the quiet heros gererally remain unsung, so thanks for sharing this example of decency with us. Ardene5
Hi You could write to the local paper and say a big thank you for the help you got. Some local papers love this type of thing as it is nice news. Best regards Ian & Valerie
