hillfamily
Just in case you had wondered where I had gone The P P P server has been down since Saturday and was supposed to be fixed by Tuesday .......but it hasn't and they now don't know when it will be fixed Having read some horror stories about Orange and P P P servers being down, I'm not holding my breath I've had to pop to o2 this morning and sign up for a monthly mobile broadband contract so I can at least manage my bank account, household bills and online food shopping You don't realise how much you use the internet on a daily basis until you lose it. All my accounts and utilities are online and paperless and you can't even find out about other ISPs unless you have access to the internet DS is beside himself......no WoW, MSN or Xboxlive, DD is away this week so she's OK for the mo and I am suffering very badly from no Forum or online shopping Might be able to pop on briefly once a day as long as I don't go over my limit I've informed Orange that they have to fix the problem by next week or else I'm leaving .....don't think it will have that much effect but their customer service is non existant and almost bordering on downright rude and unhelpful. Just off to have a very quick look around the forum and then I had better get the Ocado shop ordered before my limit is up Edited February 24, 2009 by Guest

Ain't Nobody Here
What a coincidence . We had the prospect of one or even two days without the internet (faulty modem, new one on its way). Came home this afternoon and it's working again . Half a day without it and I was having palpitations . Can't imagine how you'd manage more than one day . Hope you're sorted soon . Olly
how frustrating. I'd find it very hard with no Internet - no Omlet forum, for a start! It's funny how quickly we have come to depend on it. It's not that long ago that I was the only one amongst my friends to even have a modem! Charlottechicken
Phew, glad you are back online It happened to me on Sunday morning, I felt almost physically sick when I realised I had no internet. I am on AOL and have had tiny problems before with fora etc, so in an emergency I have logged on to a pay as you go provider. However this didn't work, so I assumed the modem had broken, dashed out on Monday to buy a new one only to find it didn't work either Quick call to BT to discover they had not done anything untoward to my phone line, then on to AOL in India, and was talked through the problem, so now I am back too
