cordelia
i think its harmful, remebering our labradors paws last year(we had to keep him off it, but he escaped onto the lawn once)....I'd go to a diy shop and check the label first....if i were you ... alk630
We did our lawn a couple of times last year with some stuff that said it wasn't harmful to pets - I can't remember the brand, but it was bought at B&Q. Look at it this way.... if they free range enough, you won't have enough lawn left and the need for weed & feed anyway
Egluntyne
I wouldn't risk it. Why not contact the manufacturer to make sure?
Stevie
The main ingredient in lawn feed & weed is ferrous sulphate which in normal circumstances isnt dangerous to pets (although they're attractived to its taste),but you will be eating the eggs which your chickens lay so in theory this chemical would be entering our food chain.I wouldnt risk it. Best to use the soluble type instead as this goes into the soil. You probably wont see the same green effects on your lawn, but you wouldnt anyway having chickens...
