Guest
Dan and I will attend the opening of an envelope As long as there is a Travelodge, where we can rest our weary heads

Guest
My S-I-L lives in Dorchester, so I'm sure we could make a journey to Dorset. I think this has been discussed before

I didn't go either (I was in Scotland) - so I can carry on the pretense that I'm a bloke.... Phil

One Man Banned
I have been chatting with Mel about a Southern Get Together its just trying to find a suitable location. If its going to be a winter meet then it MUST be undercover and it must have "fodder facilities" - you know, cafe, restaurant, fish and chips! If anyone has some good ideas for locations then put them HERE!

bunee1
Sadly this is all a bit too soon, but down in Worth matravers Nr Kimmeridge Dorset they have a pumpkin festival at a lovely little pub called the square and compass, It's always a good atmosphere lots of drinking and merry times!! Maybe an event like this would be a good place to meet up ......Just an idea

kazaddress
Would it need to be undercover if its this autumn / winter?
Guest
Probably safest. Have you got any ideas Kaz?
Mel (& Paul)
Nah the sun always shines down here on the south coast!!!! What about Kingston Lacey - a National Trust house and gardens down in Wimborne
The Dogmother
Even better if it's NT - we get in free then
Mel (& Paul)
There you go then Kingston Lacey has a large historica house (yawn) and lots of gardens. There is a restaurant / cafe and I belive you can reserve tables. Dogs and well behaved children on leads ( ) are welcome It might be better for a spring do though Bearing in mind the amount of organisation the omlet do took I wonder if it would be better to wait next year
Guest
Might be an idea Mel, I know some of the NT places close during the winter months as well
Mel (& Paul)
I think Kingston Lacey is open most of the year - but obviously we dont want to be traipsing round a garden in the pouring rain (not that it ever rains down here on the South Coast )

We'd make a picnic though!!! Maybe, if the Omlet guys let me I could sell some hens there.

The Dogmother
Mel... now when have we ever managed to stop yakking and look round the gardens????
Mel (& Paul)
That's true When I went to Kew I think I spent more time in the coffee shop than looking round the gardens
