I know someone here will be able to point me in the right direction.

 

Actually I can't knit, but my Mum has offered to make a tank top for Smallest Moocher if I provide the pattern. Is there somewhere online I can download a free pattern?

Have you tried Ravelry? ( http://www.ravelry.com ) It can be a few weeks before your account request is activated though, but I found this one:

Is the smallest Moocher male or female (and how old?)? I have a lovely tank top pattern for a girl ( it has sparkly wool stripes)

Smallest Moocher is a [rather large for his age] three year old boy, Mrs W. Shame, because I like the sound of the sparkly bits!
