Cooks
Well I am currently introducing 2 new girls to my existing 2 so I have both sorts of feeders and drinkers in the walk in run at the moment , ready for tomorrow when they are going to wake up together for the first time. With the cube you get a superglug and a grub, some hens take to the superglug fine, others dont, so it's a matter trying, my older girls have no problem with it after I tapped it a few times and they saw where the water dripped through the nipples. I like the superglug as it holds so much water you dont have to keep topping it up all the time. You can also get a 'glug' which is what comes with the smaller eglu, so if yours dont get on with the superglug, they might manage better with a glug, or a standard drinker. I thought you had to leave them some water in their house at night. Mine tend to go up to bed and then drink water for ages. They do have access to fresh water during the day so they are not thirsty. Cooks
Well I have never heard of people putting water in the hen house overnight
Falkor
I just have water in the glug in the run and nothing in the Eglu. When I lived on the farm and we had forty odd hens they never had drinkers in their little shed either. They had drinkers in the yard....but much preferred to balance on the edge of the cows water troughs
