Another stupid questions prior to cube delivery..buying more

Recommended Posts

Hi

Can anyone tell me if i went to Thornes ie on Sunday and my cube is delivered on Tuesday

with 2 GNR would a couple of chickens be ok in a spare small house in the run until (cube green) arrives :?: .

I want to put them all in (cube green) in one hit. Unfortunately the BHol is the day before!

Is that plan ok????

thanks

Glad u went to see Thornes...they just need a coffee shop and then i could spend all day looking at those emu birds...

Dont know if u met those 2 they were great..I didnt feel i was on my own as I walked around :)

Yes I think secretely I am just desperate to get started into chicken world

Thornes has got some nice birds..I do remember there being a lot more previously but it looked like they were refurbishing some new runs too.

I will go and get a couple from there nearer the time then...I can keep an eye on them in a small wooden house i have till cube day

Thanks again Palmer...hows the run coming along..is it finished yet :?:

The emu things were very amuzing :D One was laying down with it`s neck stretched out. :D

I loved the Buff Orps :D I think I may be returning when they have pure breeds for sale in August :D

Not sure if you read the WIR thread at the top of this section but my WIR has four dug holes and three more slabs laid. Doesn`t sound like much does it but the holes took me ages :? It rained all day today so I only ventured out to sort the girls breakfast and tea. Off to B&Q tomorrow to buy last few bits and as long as it isn`t raining I hope the frame will go up and be cemented in.

I bet waiting for your cube is killing you! Does OH know yet?

Yes the pure breeds were really BIG and fluffy!

Yep I am fed up reading that all the eglus/cubes are arriving :mrgreen:

I cant wait to go and pick up a couple more from Thornes(I am so worried they will never have any ever again & will sell out..how stupid i know)

Glad ur run is coming along...I am still clearing the area and I need to start building something to contain the chickens..keep changing my mind!

But no OH still has not got a clue..but i need to borrow his car to fetch some more wood batons etc and am plotting to build it all at the side of the house where he never goes :shh:

thanks good luck indie

HI Indie

I can`t see why that would be a problem. It is only 48hrs ish. Plus the spare house is handy incase they don`t take to eachother straight away.

I loved Thornes......the chooks were gorgeous and the staff so friendly :D

Em

can anyone tell me where Thornes is please :?:

HI if u r in Norfolk its probably a long way to come especially if u have places that are nearer..Thornes is a mix of garden centre and the birds...it prob took me 10mins to look at all the birds..its not a huge site but am sure if u were looking for something specific it would be worth phoning them first...they have a very good selection

Its not a huge garden centre
