I've got a similar one which is by the back door. I use it to call DD in from the garden, saves bellowing for the whole street to hear.

We have a duck one near the back door too. We have a stable door on the back porch & sometimes just have the top half open & the inner door open for fresh air. The bell gets our attention. I just liked it!

I have this thing about door bells, and it stems back from High School. One of the girls in my year was the daughter of the local undertaker. It was a joke that whenever anyone pressed her door-bell it played 'The Death March.' I was put off door-bells after that. I've got a brass knocker on my door. Good enough for me >)

I really like it I could have one in my WIR to alert a member of the family when someone locks me in It would go with the cockerel weathervane(also from Argos) I need for the top of the WIR
